Barcelona to receive almost €7m in compensation from FIFA over Pablo Martin Paez Gavira Gavi’s long-term injury.

Ufabet reported on Friday that Barcelona will receive at least €6.92 million in compensation from FIFA after Pablo Martin Paez Gavira Gavi suffer an injury while playing for Spain and will be sideline for a long time. 

FIFA will reportedly pay a maximum of €7.5 million in compensation to players who play for their national teams and are out for at least 365 days or a year, with clubs entitled to €20,000 per day if their injury lasts longer than one or two weeks. 

While Gavi’s case will see him receive around a month’s compensation less than the maximum amount after the 20-year-old midfielder suffered an injury in a game between Spain and Georgia in November last year.
